Frequently Asked Questions

Collision Repair FAQs

Do I have the right to choose my own collision repair shop?

Yes. You have the legal right to choose the repair facility you trust. While your insurance company may recommend certain shops, the final decision is always yours.

Do I need an appointment for an estimate?

Yes, appointments are highly recommended to minimize wait times, and allow our estimator to have time dedicated solely to you. Contact us to schedule a convenient time.

Do I pay my deductible to the repair shop or my insurance company?

The deductible is paid to the repair shop. Any payments made by the insurance company will not include your deductible unless otherwise determined by the insurance.

How long will my repairs take?

Repair times vary depending on the extent of the damage, parts availability, and insurance approval. We'll provide an estimated completion date and keep you informed throughout the process.

What if the insurance estimate is lower than the repair cost?

An insurance estimate is just that- an estimate. It is often based on the visible damage before your vehicle is disassembled. Once repairs begin, additional damage or manufacturer- required repair procedures may be identified that were not included in the initial estimate.

When this happens, we prepare a detailed supplement and submit the additional documentation to your insurance company for review. In many cases, the insurance company approves and pays for these additional repair costs.

However, there are situations where an insurance company may decline to pay for certain repair procedures, parts, or labor that we believe are necessary to restore your vehicle safely and according to manufacturer specifications. If that occurs, we will explain the differences, discuss your options, and obtain your approval before proceeding with any work that could result in an out-of-pocket expense.

Our commitment is to perform safe, complete, and quality repairs while keeping you informed throughout the process.

Is the estimate free?

Yes. We provide free collision repair estimates with no obligation.

Will my insurance company pay for the repairs?

In most cases, your insurance company will pay for covered collision repairs, less any deductible required by your policy. However, insurance companies do not always pay the full cost of a proper repair. In some situations, they may limit or deny payment for certain procedures, parts, or labor that are necessary to restore your vehicle safely and according to manufacturer recommendations.

If this happens, there may be an out-of-pocket balance that is not covered by your insurance policy. Before any non-covered repairs are performed, we will discuss the situation with you, explain your options, and work with your insurance company to seek appropriate payment whenever possible. Our goal is to help you make informed decisions while ensuring your vehicle is repaired safely and correctly.

Can you match my vehicle’s paint color?

Yes. We use computerized color-matching technology and premium automotive paint systems to ensure a seamless finish.

Can you repair any make or model?

We repair most domestic, import, and luxury vehicles. Contact us if you have questions about your specific vehicle.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. Ask us about the details of our repair warranty. We offer the manufacturer warranty on parts which varies between suppliers.

Can you help with my insurance claim?

Yes. We work with most insurance companies and can help guide you through the claims process from start to finish. Whether you’ve already filed a claim or aren’t sure what to do next, our team can assist with the paperwork, communicate with your insurance adjuster, and help make the repair process as smooth as possible.

While we participate in a Direct Repair Program (DRP) with one insurance company, we are not limited to that insurer. You have the legal right to choose the collision repair shop you trust, regardless of which insurance company you have.

As an OEM-certified repair facility, we follow manufacturer-approved repair procedures designed to restore your vehicle’s safety, performance, and value. If the initial insurance estimate doesn’t include all repairs required to meet those standards, we’ll work with the insurance company to request the necessary supplements.

In some situations, we may choose not to work directly with a particular insurance company if their claims practices prevent us from completing repairs that meet our quality and safety standards. If that happens, we’ll explain your options and help you navigate the process so you can still receive the repairs your vehicle needs.

Our goal is to make the claims process as straightforward as possible while ensuring your vehicle is repaired correctly the first time.

What should I do immediately after an accident?

If everyone is safe:

  • Call emergency services if needed.
  • Exchange information with the other driver.
  • Take photos of the damage and accident scene.
  • Call us to schedule an estimate or arrange towing if necessary.

Why should I choose your shop?

We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship, honest communication, exceptional customer service, and restoring your vehicle safely and efficiently. Our experienced technicians use modern equipment and manufacturer specific repair procedures to ensure your vehicle is repaired correctly the first time.

Will my vehicle look the same as it did before the accident?

Our goal is to restore your vehicle as close to its pre-accident condition as possible using manufacturer-approved repair procedures, precision measuring equipment, and professional paint matching.

What if hidden damage is found during repairs?

Hidden damage is common after collisions. If additional repairs are needed, we'll document the damage, obtain approval from your insurance company when necessary, and keep you updated before proceeding.

Will repairing my vehicle affect its warranty?

When repairs are performed according to manufacturer standards, your vehicle's warranty is generally not affected.

How do I know when my vehicle is ready?

We'll contact you as soon as your repairs are complete and your vehicle has passed our final quality inspection.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept major credit cards, cash, and checks. If you have questions about payment or deductibles, our staff will be happy to assist you. Please note that when using a credit card, a 3% fee is applied. All other forms of payment (Debit card, check, cash) do not have a fee.

Do you use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts?

We use OEM, aftermarket, recycled, or reconditioned parts depending on your insurance policy, vehicle manufacturer recommendations, and your preferences. We'll discuss your options before repairs begin.

Do you offer towing services?

If your vehicle is not drivable, we can help arrange towing to our facility.

Do you offer rental car assistance?

Yes. We can help arrange your rental car to make the repair process as convenient as possible.

If your insurance policy includes rental care coverage- or if you’ve chosen to rent a vehicle- we’ll coordinate with a trusted rental car agency on your behalf. In 99% of cases, the rental agency will deliver the rental vehicle directly to our shop when you drop off your vehicle for repairs.

This means you won’t need a second driver to follow you to our facility or make a separate trip to pick up your rental car. Simply arrive for your scheduled repair appointment, and your rental vehicle will be waiting for you.

Our goal is to make every step of the repair process as easy and stress-free as possible, from drop-off to pick-up.
